about
Hey - I'm Julie, and I'm a Product Designer! (Or UX Designer, or UI/UX Designer)
I have a Masters in Human-Computer Interaction & Design from UC Irvine, a program which I graduated from in September 2024.
During my academic journey, I had opportunities to do a few internships, and have worked on various dashboards, features, and design systems.
Currently, I am looking for a full-time, entry-level design role!

My Design Philosophy
Intentionality and attention to detail are what elevate good design to something exceptional. Whether I’m crafting a user flow, fine-tuning a layout, or prototyping interactions, I believe that the small, thoughtful choices make all the difference.
Even More: My Journey, Quirks, and Passions
I also have a B.S. in Business Administration & Management from San Jose State University, with a concentration in Accounting. My first career was in financial auditing, but I wanted to return to my roots in design, and changed courses in 2021.
As a kid I was constantly online, growing up alongside the internet. I spent a lot of time on Neopets, getting into basic HTML and CSS to make custom profile layouts. In real life, I dedicated all my weekends to an art & design studio. As I got older, I spent hours customizing and perfecting my own blog layouts for Tumblr.
Outside of work, I volunteer doing creative and marketing work for FanimeCon, one of the West Coast's biggest anime conventions. It's been a great way to flex my other design muscles, such as making print materials, slide decks, and copy-writing!
In my free-time, I'm nearly always online—playing games, doing random design side projects, or watching a show or YouTube videos. Offline, I like to read, crochet, and play badminton!
